This Pure Motorsport/Bilstein coilover kit is probably the best adjustable rate damping coilover kit available on the market. This particular kit has been developed by us in conjunction with Bilstein UK to offer a proper coilover kit.
The front coilover is a monotube, upside down design with strong steel casing and features a parallel spring with custom top spring platform with damping adjuster at the base of the casing.
The rear coilover unit is an all aluminium body with a large range of ride height adjustment. The rear coilover features a spherical bearing bottom mount and can be used with the standard upper mounts - the sleeve provided preloads the standard mount more to maximise top mount stability. The lower mounting uses a spherical bearing.
On front and rear dampers the PSS10 offers a 10 click simultaneous compression and rebound adjustment with clear feedback to provide accurate, repeatable adjustment.
This Pure Motorsport/Bilstein B14 coilover kit will fit all the Renault Clio 2 RS models. Now also available off the shelf fitted with our Laguna hub mounting brackets on a 65mm hole centre to fit our roll centre and adjustable wishbone kits.
This kit offers height adjustment and lowers 30-60mm on the front and rear.
Designed primarily as a suspension kit for use on circuit this is equally at home in a hillclimb/sprint or fast road car with the specification of appropriate rate springs. We have developed a linear rate front and rear spring application that has been the mainstay of our Time Attack UK 2017 Clio 172 suspension. The adjustable dampers and spring rates used in this application have been a great addition to the car and the handling is absolutely fantastic.
We recommend spring rates around the following figures but driver preference will make a difference and please specify what you would like:
Circuit 80N/mm front, 400lb/in rear
Hillclimb 70N/mm front, 300lb/in rear
Fast road/track day 70N/mm front, 250lb/in rear
