Clio 2 RS Roll Centre Correction Kit

This is a roll centre correction kit for all Clio 2 RS models.  The kit raises the roll centre to an optimum position after substantially lowering the car.  Raising the roll centre after lowering the car brings the roll centre closer to the centre of gravity of the car meaning less weight is transferred in cornering resulting in reduced body roll and less understeer.

With this kit you will need to swap to Laguna four stud hubs and uprights.  We use Laguna uprights for their additional strength at the bottom ball joint mounting, the already better roll centre positioning and to alleviate the need for huge spacers on the steering arms.  This conversion to Laguna hubs is straight forward - the brakes can be swapped straight over and the standard driveshafts can be retained - the struts will need to have the brackets replaced with our kit that allows the fitting of the 65mm hole centre uprights, we can do this for you.  You will also need to use our bump steer kit.

The kit and the swap to Laguna uprights and hubs widens the track width by approx 12mm per side.

The kit allows for a significant amount of caster adjustment by pivoting the spherical bearing housings and these lock in place by means of caster locking plates that stop the housing from slipping in use.  The caster locking plates are supplied in five different settings with cutouts for easy identification.

The spherical housings differ from many kits on the market by having a cranked axis allowing both more camber and caster adjustment without running out of bearing articulation on full droop or full lock.  Making the housings with a cranked axis is far more difficult as it needs to be made on a 5 axis mill but the result is worth the extra effort!  The housings are fitted with the best bearings available on the market today made by NMB.

CNC machined billet steel spherical bearing housings 

NMB spherical bearings

5 x pairs of stainless steel caster locking plates

Outer cone spacers with lower failsafe washers

All mounting bolts in 12.9 grade

The kit does not include:

Four stud Laguna hubs and uprights

Bump steer kit

Strut mounting plates on 65mm hole centres
